It’s interesting that I can remember being introduced to bands/albums. Not all of them, but some. Probably the ones the shaped my musical tastes.
I can remember my older cousin Frank introducing me to the first Slipknot album right around the time it came out, so it had to be 1999-2000, so I would’ve been 10-11.
I remember it being “scary,” but also kind of cool. I also remember looking at the album in the mall at The Wall, and trying to memorize the track list so I could seem cool next time we hung out. Of course, all I remembered was the numeric intro. He probably didn’t think I was cool.
That’s not the point of this story. Do albums/bands still seem scary and dangerous?
